I am participating in a medallion style round robin with some friends at Threadbias and this quilt belongs to Juline. I added the outer four borders, including the pieced triangles. This is my first experience with adding on to someone else's work and it was a bit unnerving at first! Fortunately, the 15" size was perfect for the addition of the triangles. I added the black and white border to bring it up to 16" and made the triangles finish at 2". Too bad I forgot about the seam allowances - the center needed to measure 16 1/2"!! Ugh!! A rookie mistake that hopefully I won't do again! Anyway, I think it is pretty cool that the eight triangles relate to the eight star points and the eight rainbow colors that Juline used (although I opted to replace the light purple with light blue). Then I added the solid block border to echo the one that Juline had done, with more black and white in between. Now it goes in the mail and on to the next person and I will receive another one! I can't wait to see what I get next!!
Have a great weekend and use the extra day to sew something pretty!!
Linking up with Crazy Mom Quilts for Finish it up Friday.
